Hello Kitty Terminal in Taiwan
This post is late BUT while I was in transit in Taiwan to LA from New Delhi, I came across gate C3 — a Hello Kitty Terminal!!! This gate is the only place at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport that has a terminal super dedicated to all things Hello Kitty. Since it was 10:30pm, NO ONE was at the gate! I got to selfishly hang out there all to myself!
New York New York… City of Dreams

I know I haven’t been in the mix lately as I usually am, so I apologize (for those who give a ____). Finals, full time work, NY, preparing to relocate, and pretty much life’s happenings has gotten me sidetracked from SexyFresh. May was a crazy month! Anyway… So I dipped out to New York for a much needed mini vacay. Been back for a couple days now and I miss NY as hell! Love love love it there! Check out some photos from my trip. Enjoy it like I did!
Apothéke, a speakeasy style bar. LOVED this joint!
Hello Joe… Joe’s Shanghai in Chinatown/Civic Center. Famous for their soup dumplings but overall, Chinese food that is to die for! Nuff said!
View of Brooklyn-Williamsburg from my girl’s apartment where we crashed. I found a lot of beauty in the city.
Handcraft jewelry line Fancy Sexy Me made face at the Artists and Fleas Market in Williamsburg that Sunday. I had the pleasure of meeting it’s founder Cynthia Catera, a majorly sweet Ohio native residing in NY. Check out her mini soldier pendant! Freakin awesome! And she was so kind to rep for SexyFresh, she laid our stickers at her booth. Their knuckle dusters and rings were also amazingly crafted.
Nha Toi restaurant located in Williamsburg, famous for their Banh Mi Pho. Yup! Pho in a banh mi without the noodles. Aaaaamazing sandwich. Brisket cooked in pho broth, stuffed in a light crispy baguette with basil, bean sprout, cucumber, cilantro, hoisin sauce, another house made sauce, and of course sriracha. It is THE best innovative banh mi I’ve ever set my mouth on.
BOMB.COM Eggs Benedict and Apple Chicken Sausages from Lokal Mediterranean Bistro in the streets on Brooklyn.
Momofuku Noodle Bar, East Village… This place is sacred lol. Photo above-Spicy Noodle with spinach, candied cashews, sausage, ramen then top it off with sriracha and you’ve got bliss. Photo below-aaamazing Pork Buns. Words will not describe these two dishes I had.
Gotta blast the citaaaaay… SexyFresh hittin’ NY!
We hit ILL Banger’s 1 Year Anniversary party at Stay Lounge on the lower east side to hang out with Mae aka Dj Illy P and her fiance Teddy from Boundless NY. Finally, I got the chance to meet her and also met some peoples from Cookies N Cream! By the way, Illy P is super dope on the set!
The Renegade also hit New York that last weekend! Time was sooo limited. I’m pretty bummed that I didn’t get a chance to stroll through.

MAC x Disney: Venomous Villans
Check out the teaser trailer here.
MAC Cosmetics is teaming up with Disney to create a limited edition color collection, intended to launch globally in late September in all MAC locations. The products will feature four Disney characters, on which the brand is keeping mum at the moment — although with a collection name of Venomous Villains, it is assumed that we’re not talking Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse here. Lipstick, powder, lip gloss and blush shades will be sold, ranging in price from $12 to $29.50. [source:WWD]
Photo Diary: New Delhi, India
I went to go visit New Delhi, India for a week for development and to source factories. India is a good place to go for woven fabrics. The prices are a lot cheaper than China but you take a risk in the quality of your goods. That is why it is important to frind the right factories that won’t skip on quality. May is never a good month to visit India – with temperatures and humidity reaching 115°, it is just too uncomfortable to go outside and do anything. Luckily everywhere I went to visit was A/C controlled. I also had Indian food for the first time…chicken masala, can’t go wrong.
Janelle Monae “Tightrope” ft. Big Boy
Janelle Monae is back with her new video, “Tightrope” featuring Big Boi. Her album, ArchAndroid drops May 18! With her funky tightrope dance, i won’t be surprised if MTV doesn’t pick it up as a dance challenge move on America’s Best Dance Crew.
SexyFresh Party: Photo Recap
Thank you to everyone that came out and made our night a success! And thanks to the SexyFresh crew for makin’ my birthday a lil’ extra special too!

DIY: Nails
Saw this on a blog last week. Stayed home on a Friday night and tried to experiment. It was so much easier than it looks!

I just used white polish for the base, black polish to paint squiggly tips, and a skinny nail art brush to paint the drips! And because it’s all drippy, it doesn’t have to be perfect! What do you think?
David Choe at Lazarides Gallery 4.22.10
Last night in Beverly Hills, art aficionados flocked to Lazarides Gallery for a private viewing of David Choe’s “Nothing To Declare.” This isn’t everything. My camera battery died…FAIL! But you should definitely check out the show for yourself. It opens to the public tonight until May(?)
This piece is my 2nd favorite piece of the evening. My 1st, I have to get it from my buddy’s camera. Sorry.
The infamous David Choe whale.
…stay tuned for more photos.

SexyFresh DIY Lace Nails

FINALLY! After posting this lil’ “DYI” a few weeks back, I finally had time outta my hectic schedule to do a lil’ pamperin’ on myself. Here’s my spin off on these cute lace nails and I even topped it off with a sweet lil’ black acrylic bow. Sexyfresh-no doubt.
SexyFresh Official Revival Launch Party!

A brief history: SexyFresh was started in 2003 with a “one man army” crew and received an exciting amount of exposure and support from LA locals and even to the east coast. Due to private matters, the work had to be put on pause. In the midst of 2010, SexyFresh has some anticipation of the brand’s revival and we’re celebrating its movment! Along with our “Revival Launch” party, we’re celebrating my 26th! We’d like all you readers + supporters out there to come join our girls from being “Dream Chasers” to becoming “Dream Makers”. Hope to see all your faces there!
Happy Friday!

Is it really Friday already? Damn, the days and weeks stroll by literally in a blink of an eye. Too bad I’m workin’ tomorrow so really… today’s not as enjoyable for me as it is for most of you. Here are some photos and images that I love to gaze at-some fun and some I am in awe with. Hopefully it’ll make a minute of your time at work a bit better before jumpin’ off the weekend! Have a safe weekend kids!
xoxo!
Throwback Thursdays – The Boyz “Dial My Heart”
Heard this song last night, thought I’d share…enjoy!
Thank You All!

We got over 1,200 visits yesterday! (Not a huge number but for a small team and in the revival progress, it’s awesome!) And whether it’s ten or a million people, we remain grateful. Let me assure you that the numbers grow everyday. Yes, we keep web stats. And with people and companies that do it as well, it gives us a brief confirmation of our movement involving our progression and growth. So THANK YOU to y’all who have come by for a second and better yet, ritually.
XOXO
Photo Diary: London
So I’ve been traveling to London every month since the new year just to be inspired by the fashion scene. All 3 times that I’ve been there, I never make it past Oxford St. – which is the mecca shopping area in Central London. Or there has been some kind of crazy snow storm or rainy weekend which prevents me from really enjoying what London has to offer. I have yet to venture outside and do the tourist thing and visit the countryside.
But Oxford St. is dope! The busy-filled streets remind me of Manhatten, the buildings make me feel like I’ve been time warped to the 18th century, and the amount of people shopping can be compared to Black Friday times 10!!!! You would never think that there was a recession going on.
If you are ever out in London, Oxford St. is the place to be! You got River Island, Bershka, Dorothy Perkins, Selfridge & Co., Miss Selfridge, the infamous Topshop, and surprisingly amazing Primark. All this and then some, located on one street. Then of course you got Carnaby Street (mostly American brand stores like Fornarina, East Pak, Diesel), Liberty (which is like a Barney’s, and smaller boutique/vintage like stores in SoHo.
The nightlife is pretty fresh! I’ve been attending Livin’ Proof’s hip hop parties and they can draw a crowd. First time I went to one of their parties, it was a 90s hip hop night at a bar called Marketplace. The venue when you walk in is like a normal pub but then you go downstairs and it’s literally an underground party. Londoners LOVE hip hop. I’m so shocked to see that almost everyone in attendance knew all the lyrics to the songs, they were shouting out the words at the top of their lungs, dudes were dancing with other dudes – no homo, and ladies can dance/walk/talk freely without having some sweaty dude grind up on them. There were only a handful of wall flowers. The 2nd time was for a tribute for the great late J Dilla. It was nothing but 5 hours of straight Dilla beats, songs, samples, and positive energy. And the 3rd time was like the 1st but Phife Dawg was in town and made an appearance – but no one knew who he was until the dj announced his presence.
Oh and here’s a tip, DO NOT hail a black cab from the street – they will charge an arm and a leg. There are so many private car companies, set up like kiosks that will gladly take you where you want to go for waaaaay cheaper!
I can’t really say much about the food – it’s true what they say, English food tends to be bland and flavorless. When I ask where I can get good food, I am always referred to a Lebanese or Indian restaurant. I tried Indian food for the FIRST time in London – and I don’t think you can count it as REAL Indian food because it was a fusion/tapas restaurant. I tried street vendor’s fish n chips (you have to) which is good but nothing to brag about.
My goal next trip is to definitely try to find a good, local food restaurant and see Big Ben up close.
