MAC x Disney: Venomous Villans
Check out the teaser trailer here.
MAC Cosmetics is teaming up with Disney to create a limited edition color collection, intended to launch globally in late September in all MAC locations. The products will feature four Disney characters, on which the brand is keeping mum at the moment — although with a collection name of Venomous Villains, it is assumed that we’re not talking Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse here. Lipstick, powder, lip gloss and blush shades will be sold, ranging in price from $12 to $29.50. [source:WWD]
Revlon Run/Walk for Women L.A. 2010

On behalf of Sexyfresh we want to salute those who participated & volunteered in the fight for women’s cancer last Saturday, May 8, 2010. It was beautiful to see men, women, & children of all races and creeds unite to support the Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Most of us know the pain of a loved one, friend, relative, or acquaintance that’s been stricken with this deadly disease. As we desperately find ways to cure cancer, the best medicine we can give is to donate and contribute to organizations like Revlon. By showing that we care, ultimately it’s LOVE from the community that will overcome the pain and suffering caused by this dreaded disease.

DIY: Nails
Saw this on a blog last week. Stayed home on a Friday night and tried to experiment. It was so much easier than it looks!
[via Hellz Bellz, via Glutter & Bullshit, via Dirty Little Style Whore, via Stop It Right Now]
I just used white polish for the base, black polish to paint squiggly tips, and a skinny nail art brush to paint the drips! And because it’s all drippy, it doesn’t have to be perfect! What do you think?

SitBack Sundays
I call my Sunday’s, SitBack Sundays. It is the end of the week, usually a long week for me, and on Sunday’s I just want to sit back and relax! Sunday’s are the times where I am able to catch up some blogs, writings, and simply just scanning through one the greatest technologies ever made called the internet! As I was browsing around on random search engines, I came across this great fashion piece called “Daily Times Sunday” Fashion in Pakistan.

Françoise Hardy by Roberta Booth
I stumbled across this post and instantly fell in love with the vintage film photographs that captured these amazing icons of the 1970’s. It’s so raw and unedited (and if edited, it’s not as extreme as it is today). We all know that fashion trends repeat itself and I’m always stoked to recognize the 70’s influences around me today-from make up, hair styles, accessories, and of course fashion! Espace Louis Vuitton X The Moai Project

Espace Louis Vuitton, in association with the Moai project, is to inaugurate its next exhibit “Silent Writings”.

Easter Island or “Rapa Nui”, off the coast of South America is home of the immense statues called Moai. These statues are representations of ancestors turned into protective deities of subsequent generations. As part of the “Moai: Journey of Light” project, Louis V will support the establishment of a Rapa Nui Foundation for 2009, to protect and transmit the island’s heritage and to support sustainable development on Easter Island.

VALENTINO: THE LAST EMPEROR

VALENTINO THE LAST EMPEROR is a documentary on the legendary designer Valentino Garavani in the wake of his exit in 2008 from the company he founded in Rome more than 45 years ago. Produced and directed by Matt Tyrnauer, Special Correspondent for Vanity Fair magazine, the film is an intimate, engaging and very funny fly-on-the-wall exploration of the singular world of one of Italy’s richest and most famous men. The film documents the colorful and dramatic closing act of Valentino’s celebrated career, tells the story of his extraordinary life and work, and also explores the larger themes affecting the fashion business today. But at the heart of the film is the unique relationship between Valentino and his business partner and companion of 50 years, Giancarlo Giammetti.

VALENTINO THE LAST EMPEROR follows them for the final two years of their careers, and show the struggles the two men face as they confront the final act of a nearly 50-year career at the top of the world’s most glamorous and competitive game. The struggle of art against commerce is at the center of the film. In the end, however, the story proves to be not one about money or expensive clothes, but about love.
Louis Vuitton RTW Fall 2009

I am absolutely in love with this collection. Fall couldn’t get anymore exciting than this. I’m loving the colors, patterns, the combination of materials, and ultimately the construction and silhouettes-pretty much everything.
