Emortal Clothing & Black Gold Kartel present Audiology “The All City Ride L.A. Edition”. We’ve collaborated with companies & local bicycle crews from L.A. to do a ride from Hollywood to the beach and back to the Blu Monkey Bar & Lounge.
Our goal is to make L.A. a bicycle friendly city. It will give an opportunity for all levels of cyclist to enjoy a medium pace, fun, and safe ride on a Saturday afternoon with the coolest bicycle crews in town.
We will have designated rest stops and a few of the team leaders of the crews will assist the riders to make it a fun and safe ride. All ages are welcome to ride, but you must be 21 & over to party with us at the Blu Monkey later that night for Audiology.
Meetup 3:30pm @ Sunset & Western by the old Carl’s Jr. parking lot. Roll out 4:30pm. We will from Hollywood, DTLA, Little Tokyo, etc. and will have frequent stops to rest and take photo opps.

If there’s anything that tickles my lil’ fancy, it’s creativity out of the box. I’ve always had an infatuation with lips. And when photographers and artists started whippin’ creative projects with their main subject on lips, I was in complete awe. And these cool lip designs by Paige Thompson aka viridis-somnio makes my list of things that get me worked up. Easily amused? Yeah! They’re fun!
]]>I know who Blu is – but who is Andy Allo? And why isn’t she the next Keri Hilson? I did some digging and this is what I found out:
Cameroon born and raised singer-songwriter Andy Allo and her band have been making music together close to a year now. Though it hasn’t been long, their chemistry, creativity and passion makes this group unique.
Sometimes backed up by her band, Allo can hold her own with just a guitar and microphone.
Allo is influenced by the soul and style of artists such as Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson, OutKast, Jill Scott, Floetry, and India.Arie.
They have performed at Harlow’s in Sacramento, The Independent in San Francisco, and Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles. And with a growing following, performed at this year’s California State Fair! Allo was also chosen to perform in and be a part of GAP Stores “Born to Live” Concerts.
If you were to categorize her music, it would require a new genre: Alter.Hip.Soul: A mix of alternative, hip-hop, and soul.
Andy Allo recently finished recording her debut album, titled UnFresh, at Paradise Studios in Sacramento, CA. The record was officially released independently on September 22nd 2009.

De La Barracuda in LA on the infamous Melrose Ave. also has a hair salon. Inside that hair salon is stylist, Chris Ulibas. Chris and I have been friends since college, and I actually knew him to be a graphic designer. So when he had mentioned to me that he does hair, it was the time I was looking for a hair stylist for SexyFresh’s 1st photo shoot! So of course I booked him, not knowing what he was like – and he did an amazing job doing the model’s hair. Chris is great to work with – he knows trendy styles & the classics. He does not just do hair for the sake of cutting hair, but he really has a vision for how the style will look & benefit each person. He understands the architect
Chris now does my hair. I went from long to short, asymmetrical, layered, and choppy. Now, I’m just growing out my hair, but you should definitely hit up Chris to do your hair. He is awesome! Check out some of his work here.

Do I need to get a bigger size?
From Beetlejuice to Batman, from Ed Wood to Willy Wonka, the characters that Tim Burton has brought to movie screens are notable for their dark idiosyncrasies and macabre weirdness.
Burton’s goth universe — at once disturbing and oddly inviting — will land at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in a major retrospective exhibition featuring artwork tied to his movies as well as original drawings, sculptures and other works created throughout his career.
The show is scheduled to run from May 29 to Oct. 31, 2011.
The show will feature more than 700 individual pieces of art from Burton’s own archive, as well as from studio archives and private collections of Burton’s collaborators.
